The court of appeal shall rule on the appeal as a matter of priority, as soon as possible and with particular attention.Joining the group requires completing a form published by the Ministry of Justice and submitting it to the claimant or the court.A group member may be heard at designated hearings ordered by the court (this right may not be unduly restricted, but it may not negatively affect the speed and efficiency of the proceedings). The court may refuse to allow the amendment or withdrawal of statement of claims if it considers such actions to be unfair, particularly with regard to the interests of the group.
The settlement proposal is discussed at the hearing, and the settlement itself is subject to assessment and approval by the court. |
