Cooperation in class actions

KKG Legal combines practical litigation experience with contributions to the development of class action legislation. From the outset of legislative work on the act, our lawyers participated in expert teams, preparing opinions for the Polish Parliament and the Ministry of Development. As a result, we not only observed but also helped shape this tool in Poland.

Why us?

  • Pioneering cases and successes
We were one of the first law firms in the country to successfully conduct class action lawsuits, obtaining a final and binding determination of the State Treasury’s liability for damages in a precedent-setting case.
  • Two perspectives
We represent both groups of injured parties and financial institutions and entrepreneurs. This allows us to realistically assess risks and select effective strategies.
  • Effective defence
We have had lawsuits dismissed at the certification stage thanks to innovative procedural arguments.
  • Business solutions
In addition to court proceedings, we conduct mediation and pre-trial negotiations, resulting in favourable settlements.

Selected experience

  • Lawsuits against the State Treasury and local government units – final judgments establishing the defendants’ liability for damages (including the case of flood victims from Sandomierz and Płock).
  • Disputes against financial institutions – representation of the largest banks in Poland in class action proceedings.
  • Lawsuit against the Social Insurance Institution – representation of a group of entrepreneurs in a case concerning unjustified demands for payment of contributions (ZUS).
  • Negotiations and settlements – effective mediation and pre-trial talks on behalf of large groups of clients.

How can we get started?

  1. Preliminary analysis of the situation and grounds for class action.
  2. Recommendation of strategy (court proceedings, mediation, settlement talks).
  3. Further cooperation in the agreed model.
